As Chief Executive Officer Of Fear Free, Randy brings decades of leadership experience in the pet care and animal health industries. Prior to joining Fear Free, Randy was Senior Vice President, Growth Partnerships at Trupanion, a leader in pet insurance across the United States, Canada, Europe, Puerto Rico and Australia.

Before Trupanion, Randy served as President and CEO of LifeLearn, Inc., an innovative provider of communication, education and software services for veterinary clinics and the animal health marketplace in North America.

Prior to joining LifeLearn, Randy was hired to develop and launch Pets Plus Us for Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada (RSA), during Randy’s time leading Pets Plus Us, the company experienced significant growth and at the time of his leaving was one of the fastest growing pet insurance brands in Canada.  It was also the highest rated pet insurance brand in North America on petinsurancereview.com during Randy’s term.

Before starting Pets Plus Us in 2012 and its launch in 2013, Randy was President and CEO of Western Financial Insurance Company (WFIC). During his 10+ years with WFIC, the company grew by more than 530%. At WFIC, Randy led the rebranding of Petplan to Petsecure Pet Health Insurance. He also developed key business partnerships with the Canadian Automobile Association, the Canadian Kennel Club, HBC, Nestlé Purina PetCare, President’s Choice Financial, Procter & Gamble and Walmart (where Randy helped create their first in-store pet-insurance offering in partnership with Iams). In 2004, this program rolled out to more than 200 Canadian Walmart stores.

Randy is a founding member and former president of the North American Pet Health Insurance Association (NAPHIA) and previously sat on the boards of The Farley Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, the Guelph Humane Society and the Humane Canada.
